Multiplayer brawler with chaotic physics

Bare Butt Boxing is a premium action game from Tuatara Games. In this funny and casual title, you play as one of the countless aliens mesmerized by the human sport of boxing. Taking matters into your own hands, you play an outlandish version of the sport where only the fittest survive.

This fighting game combines exaggerated physics, fun and colorful visual designs, and an online setup to bring chaos to you and your friends, making Bare Butt Boxing a fun alternative to games like Gang Beasts, Pummel Party, or maybe Human: Fall Flat, complete with the online multiplayer support.

Experience intergalactic boxing

Bare Butt Boxing revolves around the funny premise of aliens discovering boxing and making it their own. As such, it fully utilizes its unique in-game physics to deliver some unpredictable yet enjoyable fighting experience. You get to choose your alien, each having distinct designs although they share basically the same move sets. What tips the tide of battle is the unique mechanics for every level plus the randomly generated powerups.

What makes it wacky is its use of ragdoll physics. Each character is subject to larger-than-life animations that differ depending on the impact and the source of damage. Simple and plain punches will make your character flinch slightly, while explosives and other traps will send your alien flying. Surprisingly, this part is done well, with minimal collision issues that make this plausible.

As it stands, there are still a couple of issues that can be resolved with future updates. First, online multiplayer can take a bit longer because of its limited player base. Additionally, you risk fighting the same players again and again. Also, there’s still a limited selection of aliens and locations, although each of these materials shows the promise of this game once expanded.

Fun brawl with limited replayability

If you’re after a fun yet messy multiplayer knock-em-off type of game, Bare Butt Boxing should be the next title on your list. Unlike most games with ragdoll physics, the animation here is quite controlled, showing the quality and commitment put into it. You can play it with friends or with its still-growing online servers. Once the devs put in additional models and set designs, it will become more enjoyable.
